Founded in 1636 by Roger Williams, the capital of Rhode Island is at the confluence of the Woonasquatucket, Moshassuck & Seekonk rivers which in turn becomes the Providence River. That river empties into Narragansett Bay. The Narragansett Electric Power Company features prominently on this cover from the 70’s. The NEPC is now part of the British owned National Grid Group. So much for hard fought Independence. This cover has a subtle reference to the mafia activities that was at its acme when this cover was produced. The perfect gift for housewarmings, and anniversaries each illustration is initially hand-drawn for precision and then permanently etched into cork. The trivets are .375" thick and 7.25" in diameter with rounded edges. The engraving method has incredible detail and tactility. Fabricated from sustainable Portuguese cork.
