As the Commonwealth’s motto says, Virginia is for Lovers and people do love Virginia Beach. The site of the world’s longest resort beach, this city of 450,000+ enjoy subtropical weather buffeted by coastal breezes. Located where the Atlantic meets the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay the city is host to many Naval government-related enterprises and certainly, Capitol Foundry receives some of those contracts. The foundry subcontracted this cover to an Indian firm, despite having the facilities and labor to do the work. Perhaps, more financially lucrative work was done locally. And this outsourcing is perhaps why the O in Foundry appears off-limited oversight. A bold S stating the cover’s purpose is surrounded by a clockface of wedges along with information squeezed onto the perimeter. Within that zone appears a familiarly shaped gumsplat and an eastern located pickpoint.
